A person killed two individuals at a Houston motel then wounded two others by opening hearth into the car parking zone earlier than dying in a shootout with police, authorities mentioned.
The shootings occurred late Sunday on the Palace Inn motel in northwest Houston, government police chief Matt Slinkard mentioned.
A person, believed to be about 35 years previous, killed two individuals then opened hearth from the motel balcony on officers who have been responding, Slinkard mentioned. Two individuals within the car parking zone have been wounded, however no officers have been damage.

The officers returned hearth and the gunman was pronounced useless on the scene, although police haven’t but decided whether or not he died from the officers’ gunfire or a self-inflicted wound, Slinkard mentioned.
Police didn’t instantly know why the person killed the 2 individuals. There’s no proof that the shooter knew the 2 victims or that it was a home violence scenario, Slinkard mentioned.
“It’s a horrific and tragic scene,” he mentioned.
