A military officer and 4 different troopers had been killed in motion throughout an encounter between safety forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on Monday, officers stated.
An anti-insurgency operation was launched in a village near Dera Ki Gali in Surankote within the early hours following intelligence inputs concerning the presence of 4 to 5 heavily-armed terrorists there, they stated.
The hiding terrorists fired on the search events leading to a fierce gunfight and demanding accidents to a Junior Commissioned Officer or JCO and 4 different troopers. They died from their accidents.
The encounter with the terrorists was happening and additional particulars are awaited, a defence spokesperson stated.
Officers stated there have been experiences concerning the presence of a bunch of heavily-armed terrorists within the Chamrer forest, after they managed to sneak from throughout the Line of Management (LoC).
Reinforcements have been rushed to the world to plug all escape routes of the terrorists, they stated.
